They're best kept in groups with three as a minimum. I agree that a 20 gallon is small, and should be a permanent residence. I also agree with the 78 degree temp as well.

Also know that clown loaches are sensitive to poor water quality. So weekly, partial water changes of at least 25% is a must in order maintain health. They're so cute, aren't they?
