Treating Botias in planted tank

Posted By: B.paranoid

I have a healthy community of clown loaches, blue loaches and rainbows in a planted tank. What can I use to treat the tank if there is an Ich epidemic?

I can't use salt.
I can't use copper.

can I use malachite green?

I can use potassium permanganate (PP) but I am not sure how scaless fish like botias react to PP.

I am a lil concerned about using maracide. In the past some clown loaches had reacted badly to the treatment although I cannot say with certainty if the maracide is the direct cause.

Chewing on my nails, waiting for answers. Thanks
