pH of 7.8.. and should i put in my loaches..

I have a pH of 7.8 in my new tank and the pH of the tank I have my clowns in right now is 7.4ish. Would changing the tanks really affect them that much? It would just be temporary till the tank gets completely cycled. Then I'm going to put in the rock I bought which will raise the pH to around 8.1 or so. But for probably about a week or 2 having my 2 Clown Loaches in there and I might just add my two Yo-Yo Loaches too. Good or bad?
