You are correct in most of your assumptions. Any store that would recommend for me to change my pH, would have to do a pH test of the tank their fish is in. If you live in the same area, the water pH probably won't be much different. pH is the last thing on my list to worry about. I don't even know what it is in my tank, and I don't care. SteveK
