Happy botias

Yesterday, I removed my two SAEs, 1 regular algae eater, and pleco and traded to my lfs (not so local--20 miles out of town!) for store credit. This morning I noticed that my skunk and yoyos, who were always very shy, were not so shy anymore. The skunk used to spend all of his time chasing the SAEs, and the other botias away. Now, he is just seems more content. I think that botias not perfer members of their owns species but members of their own genus. Do you find this to be so also? I don't know if this generalization would hold up with modestas however.
