feeding my Modesta

I have two botia Modesta in a 55 gal tank with three african chiclids and a small pleco. every night I throw in a few algea wafer for the pleco. I found out the chiclids love them and so do the loachs, it a clicking, stealing, feeding frenzy :) one of my one modestas will also go to the top and get the chiclid pellets that I feed during the day. My problem comes when I feed the loachs (shrimp pellets) the chiclids eat them (which is bad for them, too much protien) so I'm having troubles. my question is do my loachs need to have the shrimp pellets or can they just eat the waffers, and chiclid pellets?

I'm guessing they need it so does any one have any suggestions on getting it to them without the chiclids stealing it.
