Just found this site and love it, it has gone into my favorites box. The loach species index is wonderful and helped me identify my new loach. I'm pretty sure that he is a botia migrolineata, but will know better as he grows up. The kid at the pet store said he was an otocinclus, but his "whiskers" told me different.
My love of the loaches started a few years ago with George, a weather loach, who is so tame, he eats out of my hands. I'm currently up to eight different species and am always looking for others. I'm just a small time hobbist with a few tanks, and the loaches are quickly becoming favorites. I find their antics a constant source of intertainment.
