Clowns Nibbling on Other Fish

I've got two 3" clown loaches who habitually pester a few of my larger fish (an 8" cigar shark in particular) by nibbling on their sides. Seemingly an attempt to eat their slime coating. The other fish find this annoying, and dart away or swat the loaches off, but the loaches are extremely persistant, and keep chasing & nibbling. Should I worry about the clowns doing any damage this way? Is this a signal that they aren't receiving enough of a certain type of food? I feed a good variety - regular & spirulina flakes, live brine shrimp & black worms, as well as cichlid pellets... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
