Kuhlis vs Angelfish

One of my angelfish has started to spawn again. This time, my kuhlis must have gotten a whiff of the eggs. They were out almost immediatly, and tried to locate the eggs. A few got pretty close to the spot, but the 2 angelfish made sure they got no eggs. The kuhlis are really excited as one of them grabbed an angelfish tail, and tried to take a bite. The angelfish sent it away quickly with a nip. A few have gotten nips on the tails, and 3 have gotten nipped right in the barbels.

Just wondering if they could get their barbels nipped off.

I have never seen this before, but the angelfish have spawned several times before. In the last instances, none of the loached have taken even a remote interest in the eggs.
