Got the yoyos!!! :-)

Ok, folks, you all knew I was going to do it, right?

They're in the discus tank along with the rostrata (who is much better, by the way). The discus are taking it well, considering the alpha discus has been collided with twice (once by each yoyo).

Measurements: Large yoyo is 4 inches SL, 5 inches TL; smaller yoyo is one inch shorter. I got a clue and measured them in the bag, so they couldn't avoid it heh heh heh...

Behavior: These yoyos grew up together, and they act more social than I expected. They will go off on their own, but frequently hang out together, side by side, like some clowns. Their barbels turned red as they explored every inch of their new home.

These guys were so active they caused the rostrata to go into hiding, but now they are all getting along. All 3 loaches have already earned their keep by cleaning up every planaria worm in the tank (the nitrate was up a little, I fixed that before adding the loaches)...and there must be something on the driftwood, because they have gone over every nook, cranny, and square millimeter of it with great enthusiasm! No more concern about food escaping into places the discus can't reach!

These guys are great! :-)

Because I saw a few ich spots on the rostrata (they're gone now) the whole tank is getting the heat-and-salt treatment, and I will probably do a course of Hex-A-Mit as well because this lfs feeds live tubifex to their fish and I've gotten infected fish before - and then it turns out that all their tubifex turned up dead mysteriously today...of course, they discovered this right after I'd bought the loaches, they didn't know it had happened 'til someone came in to buy tubifex...oh, dear.
