'Sucking Loaches'

Can anybody help me identify a loach from my LFS labelled 'Suckng Loach'. Firstly it's nothing like any hillstream species. They are about 1.5 - 2 inches long, pale grey - mid grey body colour, with darker chunkyish stripes. They are a similar shape to a cobitis stratia. They have an elongated mouth which provides suction. When they 'suck' on to something they are only conected by the mouth the rest of the fish is free. I'd quite like some but i'm not sure what they are, or what their requirments are. Thanx in advance for your help
