Clown loaches won't eat

Got three clown loaches about a week and a half ago. They're each about three inches in length and are in a newly set up 55-gallon along with two small convict cichlids.

The clowns look healthy. Good color. Erect fins. But they won't eat anything! Food falling down all around them and they act like they don't even know what it is.

I've tried flakes, sinking tablets, freeze-dried tubifex worms and they're just not interested.

I do see them occasionally rumaging through the gravel, in a catfish-like manner. So I assume they're getting some "left-overs" that way. But I'm getting concerned that they show know interest in gobbling up the food when it's literally flying all around them.

Any ideas?
