Plant eating Clowns

I hope someone can help me with this. I have 3 clowns and it looks like they are eating my new live plants. When I wake up in the morning I see bite marks all over my sword plants. Is there anyway to get them to stop, or should I just see it as normal and not worry about it. The plants are starting to look a bit ragged now. Any feedback would be appreciated.
