STRIATA AND YOYO ROAD TRIP!!!! When you stop looking for them they fall right in to your lap!!!!!

Hello everyone,

We have just returned from sunny Florida with some wonderful new family members!!!!! I posted a few messages regarding how hard it is to find different loach species around here and how badly I wanted some striatas. Well we stopped into a fish store just down the road from where we were staying and what do we see but a whole school of those little guys. We told them to hold them until we were ready to go home and they did. Also, the only two "yoyos" they had were the subspecies that were talked about here a few weeks ago (can't find the post in the archives). One has vertical bars and the other has an "H" pattern Any info on these guys will be appreciated.

We picked out six striatas and snatched the oddball yoyos and packed them in pure oxygenated bags and put them in a styrofaom box where they were nestled for around ten hours!!!! We got them home and acclimated them and they were almost immediately eating.

Needless to say they are all very happy in their new spacious home.

Suzanne & Mark :)
