ick strikes again

We've got major ick, and after having lost a pair of loaches previously to this, I want to do everything I can.
We have a 55 gal. freshwater, with 2 angels, a pearl gourami, a plecostomus, 2 clown loaches, and recent addition of 3 rosey barbs and a ghost-something (black pin-shaped with one undulating fin running the length of his underside). Ick appeared 4 days ago, on loaches first. Administered Coppersafe 1 tsp/4 gal on next day. Ick continues to worsen on loaches and starting to appear on other fish. Two days later (today) saw this site, and followed advice to add salt 1tsp/5 gal along with Maracyn for secondary infections. What now? Water changes? How often, how much? Anything else we can do? HATE to loose those clowns...
