Actually, that's exactly what I meant...I didn't mean soil, as in garden soil, more like night soil...Yuk is right...I'm just assuming it's been sterilized by the freeze drying process since nothing bad has happened in the years I've fed the freeze dried tubifex to fish. Although I don't use it much now that Hikari has come out with their frozen sterilized tubifex.

But what you state is *exactly* the reason I am against feeding live tubifex to fish - it's a parasite infection just waiting to happen IMO.
