Feeding large loaches..

Ok, here's a question that suddenly occurred to me: what do you feed a large loach? A loach of around 6-7 inches could hoover several shrimp pellets and consider that an appetizer, so what else is appropriate? I know that I can get small, frozen, freshwater shrimp from various places - this might do the job, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this kind of thing...

Maybe bloodworms in good quantities (frozen), and I've seen larger "carnivore cubes" for saltwater fish that look tasty (hmm, been spending too much time with the fish again)...
