Treating new kuhli's???

I have a 10 gallon tank set up with flower pots, bog wood, banana plants, java fern and moss, and duckweed all ready for a few kuhlis. But after having lost 6 new kuhli's to infection, and after reading several horror stories in the forum's archives, I was wondering if anyone has come up with a treatment plan for newly purchased kuhli loaches? If anyone knows of ways to prevent losing new kuhlis (temperature, antibiotics, etc, etc) I'd like to hear them...my lfs has new arrivals waiting for adoption!
