Stunted Clown

I have three clowns approaching what I think is their half year birthday. While two have grown significantly (reaching to their fourth inch), one is still barely over an inch, and I am worried about his lack of growth. They eat two different kinds of tablets and seaweed, but admittedly I have put off growing brine shrimp to provide live foods, so maybe he doesn't eat right. The only other thing I could think of is all the time they spend in their "Loach Log." Could closed space stunt growth? I don't know if it is something I should be worried about taking action towards or if he is just the runt of the litter. Any ideas? I appreaciate it.
