Wouldn't do a review on the book as there are much more QUALIFIED PEOPLE than thme around the Internet to do that ;)
But, the latest ish of "Practical Fishkeeping" has a bit about a new book hitting the shops......."Ornamental Aquarium Fish of India", by Kishori Lal Tekriwal, and Andrew Arunava Rao. It's ISBN # is :185279117-9 published by TFH, and priced at 19.95 pounds in the UK.
It covers the ornamental fish of India and Shri Lanka, has colour photographs of over 250 species complete with comprehensive husbandry info in the form of symbolic key.
Covers all common species, and an array of similar varieties, including *LOACHES*, catfish, gobies, snakeheads, and puffers.
It also includes a large amount of interesting info on the geographical area, Indian aquarium trade, and taxonomy. There's also over 30 pages of well-researched info on the families and sub-families of the area.
Sounds good to me!
PLUS, in the PFK's, 'What's in next months issue bit' it says that there's an article on the Clown Loach by Kathy Jinkings.
Now, Kathy Jinkings is PFK's resident Web researcher, so I wouldn't mind betting on where she's been researching the article as PFK is very aware of the existence of Loaches on Line.
