Hi! What you could try doing is keeping the pellets in your hand and actually placing them on the bottom of the tank where the loaches hang out- the pellets soften over time and it shouldn't be a problem if they seem too large for the clowns to nibble on. Also, have you tried frozen bloodworms? I like to take a piece and help dissolve it in the water by "swishing" it around. This way, there are so many little pieces that the other fish don't have time to find them all before some get a chance to sink to the bottom.
