Dead Clown loach

I had 7 clown loaches in a 45 gallon tank with 2 caves for them to hide in. THey share the tank with a Red tail giant gourami, albino oscar, tiger oscar, and 2 plecostomus. Early this morning i found 1 (the largest loach) dead. Now i know they lay on their sides to sleep, but this one was dead. I poked it with the net and it still wouldnt move. Can anyone tell me why a fish would just drop dead?

Ps. I had hex-a-mit in the tank before for my Australian arowana (which is dead also, but from starvation on his part). I also added some blackwater extract. If this is at all involved with the death can someone tell me. Thanks in advance.
