Kuhli Loaches, OK with a little salt ?

We have a couple of small kuhli loaches with a remaining single dwarf gourami. Three gouramis have died due to an as yet undetermined disease. We used a product called "Clout" which didn't seem to help. Our normally active loaches became reclusive during the treatment. A common general treatment for disease is to raise the temp and add a little salt to the tank. What temp can the loaches take ? Can they handle a little salt for a week ? Are there medications we just shouldn't use with kuhlis ?
