When I bought my three clowns 3 months ago, I NEVER saw them. I worried about them primarily because I couldn't tell if they were healthy or not. Gradually, however, they came out and now they swim around the tank all day.

At first, I did spend some time sitting in front of the aquarium with the room lights out (i.e., only the aquarium light was on). Then I took a turkey baster and squirted some frozen brine shrimp in front of their hiding place. They would peek out and then scoot back in when they saw me. When I didn't move, however, they would eventually come out and eat.

I guess my advice is just give them some time. It took m
