Territorial: per school or per botia?

I understand that botias grow territorial after some time. I am not quite certain what that means: - Does a school of botias claim a territorium? - Does each single botia claim a territorium of its own? Or even: - Does a school of botias claim a territorium and has each single botia its own part in there that it defends? - Is the territorium a restriction for other botias of the same kind and/or solely to other fish?

My 4 clowns are still very small (less than 3 inch) and non-territorial yet. I would like to have a better understanding of what terrioriality means by clown botias in particular.
