Oddly marked modestas.

As the LOL Guru of Odd Markings, I felt I should comment on the modestas I saw today at the shop where I bought my 3 lecontei. Every single fish in the tank was very nicely coloured, with very bluish-grey body and very red fins. The odd thing was that the marking sometimes visible on the caudal peduncle was strange. Each fish had a deep black spot at the top of the caudal peduncle, whilst the lower part of the marking was barely discernable. It reminded me of the "eye-spots" one sees on Marine Butterfly fish.

Normally, if you can see this marking it is uniformally visible.
